As our new logo suggests, we are now part of Howden, one of the UK’s leading insurance brokers and one that is proudly independent.
This is an exciting new chapter for us as it means we can now offer our clients more through the increased scale and broader range of services that we now have.
Like Protean Risk, Howden share our passion for delivering the very best outcomes for clients and forming enduring relationships with them.
Going forward, our existing clients will continue to receive a first-class service from the same dedicated and familiar team, but now with more resources behind us to achieve more for clients at renewal and throughout the year. These include:

The Protean Risk team are already working closely with the team at Howden, led by our managing director, Ed Brennan.
Together with Howden, Protean Risk have over 60 people supporting over 3200 clients within the financial services sector. These range from start-ups right the way through to large corporates and encompasses the full spectrum of firms, including; banks, wealth managers, asset managers, financial advisers, fintech, payments services firms, commercial firms, insurance companies and many more.
Our combined team pride ourselves on our deep understanding of the sectors in which we operate so that we can help clients obtain the insurance coverage they need and protect their business effectively.
Being one of the largest specialist financial lines brokers in UK means we can leverage our standing with insurers to secure the best possible terms for clients. We place GBP 1bn into the financial lines market alone.
